Mr. Jayaraman Raghunathan

Jayaraman Raghunathan is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, having an excellent academic record of State, University and All India Ranks. He has over 32 years of experience in the Finance and Commercial Management as well as IT and Business Consulting.
He started his career in Hindustan Unilever Limited where he began as a Management Trainee and subsequently held various commercial management positions. He moved to Sundram Fasteners Limited, the flag ship Company of the TVS group. He was involved in the growth of the software-consulting division, which pioneered implementation of knowledge-based systems in the early 90s. He also headed the global marketing and the ERP practice in Sundaram Infotech, the IT arm of Sundaram Finance and has been the architect of putting the till-then in-house servicing division on the international map.
Promoted as the Vice President, he expanded the customer base of the company across geographies that include Oman, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, apart from the US market. He also established marketing alliance partners to further enlarge the business coverage. During his tenure, the company received several recognitions from Microsoft – Best Regional Partner, Member of the Presidents’ club etc.
He then promoted Right Fields, which won in less than 6 months, the Gold Certified Partner status of Microsoft, specializing in ERP Consulting, Business Intelligence and Business Collaboration solutions.
Right Fields grew to become a team of 40 people with customers in India and Middle East Asia, Sri Lanka and Australia in less than 3 years. The success of Right Fields encouraged a large business group in the northern part of India to buy equity stakes and he continued to serve as the Sales Director of the merged company.
As the Business Manager & Consultant, he has led teams in conceptualizing, developing and implementing various Software and Consultancy solutions. His domain experiences include a wide range of functions including Supply chain, Distribution chain, Finance & Treasury, MIS and Management Accounting.
He has delivered consulting solutions to a range of industries including consumer goods, commodity, perfumery, discrete manufacturing, engineering contracts as well as banks and financial services.
His special areas of interest and accomplishment are ERP, Knowledge Management and Business Intelligence. He has been instrumental in the concept, design and delivery of solutions in these technology areas.
He has traveled extensively in India and abroad for Business Promotion, Sales, Technology and Consulting assignments.
He has recently promoted a “Not for Profit” organization called Knowledge Capital Investment Group (KCIG) that aims to help fresh graduates move seamlessly into their first job by providing relevant training and mentoring inputs.
He has excellent communication skills and has conducted several workshops and seminars in the areas of Knowledge Management, Expert Systems, ERP and Information governance, Leadership and Sales Effectiveness.
He is currently the Chairman of the Expert Committee on IT/ITES at the Madras Chamber of Commerce & Indistry.
He is a regular guest speaker in many leading management institutions in South India like Loyola Institute of Business Administration, SSN School of Management, Sona School of Management, MOP Vaishnav College, Ethiraj College, Hindustan University, Kanchi University etc.
He has been a regular guest faculty for the post graduate diploma in business Administration program run by Indo German Chamber of Commerce (Training Center).
He has been guiding several management institutions as a member of their Board of Studies.
He has held positions as Director of the Rotary Club of Madras Mid-Town and has taken part in several socially relevant initiatives of the Rotary movement.
He has also held honorary position as a non Executive Director & Chairman in a social enterprise-backed micro finance company that works towards inclusive economic enablement of self help women groups. He is also a director of a Microsoft Dynamics ERP Consulting company.
His wife, Latha is a practicing Chartered Accountant and has two adult sons, Mrithyunjay and Digvijay.
Mrithyunjay and his wife work and live in Munich, Germany, while Digvijay is studying Masters in Electronic Engineering in Madison, Wisconsin, USA.
His interests include Reading, Writing in Tamil and he is an avid Face book user with more than hundred followers.
